The incident occurred in April 2017, when the film was being filmed inside the Barclay Hotel in Los Angeles.
According to the lawsuit, Depp yelled and berated Brooks until his bodyguards removed him from the scene.
According to Brooks' statements, Depp "reeked of alcohol" and believed that the actor drank and took drugs on the set.
For his part, a representative of Jhonny Depp did not give a single response.
The lawsuit claims that producer Migual Segal, and director Brad Furman, as well as production companies Good Films and Infinitum Nihil, the latter of which was founded by Depp.
Brooks says he was fired after failing to sign a document stating he would not sue the production over the incident.
Furman and Good Films, founded by Segal, have not responded to a request for comment.
However, according to TMX, Jhonny Depp attacked Brooks after it was announced that to meet schedules, the crew had to move from one scene to another after just one more take. According to Brooks, Depp reacted violently to this instruction.
